Arguably one of the highlight products for TaylorMade in this time period was the V-Steel Fairway woods, and for 2020 the V-Steel returns and positions itself on the sole of the SIM Fairways to improve turf interaction and versatility from all lies faced on the golf course.
Recent successful technologies fill out the remainder of the SIM’s innovation roster, with the likes of Twist Face using adapted face angles, positioned in the common mishit areas of the face, to enhance overall performance and forgiveness. The Next-Gen Speed Pocket offers enhanced sole flexibility to optimise ball speeds on low-face mis-hits.
The SIM’s 180cc multi-material construction consists of Carbon, Titanium and an 80-gram steel soleplate to achieve an ultra-low CG location for maximum launch and forgiveness whilst also increase ball speeds and lowering spin. With the inclusion of the ultra-strong Titanium face, the SIM Ti generates unprecedented ball speeds from all strike locations on the face.
