Sporting a few technological adjustments to both the aesthetics and the performance, the new TaylorMade P790 Irons 2019 provides a full distance package with tour-inspired looks. The 2019 P790 is designed to appeal to the golfer that requires more distance but prefers a more compact head at address.
Powered by SpeedFoam, the 2019 P790 iron features a Forged Hollow Body Construction which consists of an ultra-thin forged 4140 face on a carbon steel body, resulting in explosive distances from all strike locations on the face. Improving strikes lower on the face is the Tru Slot Speed Pocket which is situated on the sole of the iron and protects the ball speeds which would usually be lost on common struck areas of the face.
The iconic multi-purpose SpeedFoam innovation is injected inside the P790’s body - acting as a vibration damper whilst giving extra power to this award-winning players distance iron. TaylorMade’s patented Progressive Inverted Cone Technology is specifically positioned in each iron to improve precision whilst maintaining ball speeds on off-centre strikes. A low profile tungsten weight is installed to lower CG and improve the P790’s launch.
